The Visit puts Shyamalan back on the map, somewhat, and brings out the strengths that originally placed him in the conversation in the first place. He elicits some great performances from the young cast and also keeps the twists plausible and satisfactory. Its formulaic but at this stage of M. Nights carrer we see that as something of a good thing. A stepping stone to bigger things again. A simple, well executed little horror- thriller.
