Jack Reacher: Never Go Back doesn’t quite get the Lee Childs franchise moving into top gear but it’s solid enough. We’re not sure this will ever work on screen as well as it does on the page; though there’s no real difficulty with bringing it to life it just hasn’t sparked yet. Everyone involved does a good enough job of running, shooting, running and shooting, but it’s lacking the spark to make itself really stand out. Certainly not bad though and it’s efficient enough to enjoy without too much thought.
